We are extremely pleased that Local 5 and Benchmark Hospitality, the company that manages the hotel at Turtle Bay Resort, have reached an agreement for a contract which was ratified by the workers on July 22, 2006 in a unanimous vote. As a result, we are happy to announce that the boycott of Turtle Bay is over! We appreciate all of the support we received throughout this long struggle. We would now like to join together with Turtle Bay in welcoming all of our valued guests back to the resort.

Turtle Bay workers and State Representative candidate Carol Philips celebrate after voting to ratify the new contract.
